Death by Force

In the fall of 2019, the life of 32-year-old Valerie Taylor was tragically cut short in what police have described as a murder-suicide. On November 12, 2019, officers with the Topeka Police Department were dispatched to a residence in East Topeka for a medical call. Upon their arrival, they discovered Ms. Taylor deceased inside the home. It was determined that she had sustained a single, fatal gunshot wound.
