On the evening of December 22, 2023, Jennifer Eisele, a 45-year-old Caucasian woman from Topeka, Kansas, was fatally shot in the 600 block of SW Fillmore Street. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene just before 6 p.m., where they found Eisele with a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
