Erica E. Bevitt, a 42-year-old White/Caucasian woman, was found dead on August 27, 2025, in the Montara subdivision just south of Topeka, Kansas. Deputies were dispatched for a welfare check late that morning, arriving to a quiet block on SW Briarmeade Lane where the stillness of the neighborhood masked what had unfolded inside the home.
