In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 29, 2021, the life of 32-year-old Shakeita Tacora Young, a Black/African American female, was tragically cut short in her Topeka, Kansas home. Responding to a report of a shooting just after 5 a.m., law enforcement arrived at a mobile home park in the 1800 block of N.E. Burgess Court to find Young suffering from a gunshot wound.
