Murdered

On October 13, 2023, 17-year-old Damayah Renee Calhoun, affectionately known as "Mighty," was dropped off at a Topeka hospital with a life-threatening gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Authorities identified the likely crime scene in the 600 block of S.E. Lawrence Street in East Topeka. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with her death.
