On a tragic Tuesday afternoon, September 1, 2020, a young Black/African American woman named Anisha Rucker, age 26, was fatally shot in Kansas City, Kansas. The incident occurred around 12:59 p.m. in the 2600 block of Quindaro Boulevard. When police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Ms. Rucker suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
