In the pre-dawn hours of May 30, 2015, the quiet of a Kansas City, Kansas street was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When the echoes faded, the body of 16-year-old Jamie J. Hernandez-Zubia, a female, was discovered lying in the 2500 block of Ridge Avenue around 2:30 a.m., the victim of an apparent gunshot wound.
