On May 7, 2024, 42-year-old La-Toya Seamster-Lawagbon was found deceased in her Kansas City, Kansas, residence. The discovery occurred after a man entered the emergency room at the University of Kansas Hospital, confessed to the killing, and discharged a firearm into the ceiling at the hospital's security entrance.
