On the evening of May 18, 2023, a domestic dispute in Kansas City, Kansas, escalated into a tragic act of violence that claimed the life of 29-year-old Kristy C. Thow. The incident, which unfolded at her mother's home, also resulted in the death of her mother, 50-year-old Penny Smith, and the suspected shooter.
