In the summer of 2009, a heart-wrenching tragedy struck Kansas City, Kansas, forever altering the lives of a local family. On June 22, three-year-old Juanita Denea Nicole Renee Castleberry-Bess was found deceased. Her life, which began on April 18, 2006, was cut horrifically short in a brutal act of violence that also claimed the life of her 41-year-old mother, Peggy Sue Castleberry.
