Aajion Wright, a 16-year-old Black male, left home on a mild October evening in Rochester and ended up on Warwick Avenue in the city’s 19th Ward, a stretch of homes near Kirkland Road where porch lights glow over narrow driveways. Just before 11 p.m. on October 9, 2025, gunfire broke the quiet. Officers responding to the block found him in a driveway between two houses, struck multiple times. He was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
