In the bright light of an August afternoon, a burst of violence shattered the peace outside the David F. Gantt Community Center in Rochester, New York, leaving a young man's life extinguished. On August 10, 2015, 23-year-old Jonathan Diaz Padilla was brutally attacked and gunned down. The assault was swift and merciless, carried out by multiple assailants who both shot and physically assaulted him.
