In the Upper Falls neighborhood of Rochester, New York, a burst of violence on a Saturday in late May of 2025 ended the life of 19-year-old Delwin Aponte-Charbonier. The young man, whose ethnicity has not been publicly disclosed, was inside a home on Ward Street when he was shot in the torso. Rushed to a nearby hospital, he succumbed to his injuries several hours later on May 31, 2025, leaving a community to grapple with the sudden and tragic loss.
