In the early evening of April 1, 2020, a dispute on Alexander Street near University Avenue in Rochester, New York, turned fatal. Lorenzo L. Wade Sr., a 47-year-old male, was shot at least once in the torso during an altercation. Rochester Police Department officers responded to the scene around 6 p.m. and discovered Wade on the ground.
