In the early morning hours of July 16, 2021, a grim discovery was made in an industrial area of Kansas City, Kansas. Christian Franco, a 22-year-old male, was found deceased alongside 23-year-old Jesus Quintero. The two men were located inside a vehicle that had apparently crashed in the 700 block of Pawnee Avenue.
A person arriving for work shortly before 5 a.m. first noticed the scene and alerted authorities, reporting two unconscious and non-breathing individuals.
When police and emergency medical personnel arrived, both Christian Franco and Jesus Quintero were officially pronounced dead at the scene. It was determined that both men had sustained fatal gunshot wounds, leading police to investigate their deaths as a double homicide.
