On July 18, 2015, at approximately 12:56 AM, Wesley West, a 25-year-old resident of Washington, DC, was shot and killed in the 3400 block of 13th Place, SE. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene and initiated an investigation into the homicide. According to the MPD, the incident occurred in a residential area, and they sought the public's assistance in gathering information regarding the case.
