On August 5, 2016, Chijioke C. Agbakahi, a 59-year-old resident of Washington, D.C., was fatally shot on the 5100 block of Georgia Avenue, NW. The incident occurred around 6:40 p.m., and Agbakahi was discovered by police at the scene. The investigation led to the identification of Master Matthew Thomas as the primary suspect in the case.
