In the late morning of a summer day, tragedy struck a Northeast Washington, D.C. neighborhood. On Monday, June 19, 2017, at approximately 10:14 a.m., gunfire shattered the peace in the 300 block of 54th Street, NE. The victim was 51-year-old Reginald Parks, a resident of the area, who was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The shooting occurred near his home in the Grant Park neighborhood.
