On July 30, 2017, at approximately 2:00 am, Juan Carlos Osorio-Herrera, aged 24, and David Santiago Amaya-Medrano, aged 23, were fatally shot in the 4800 block of Kansas Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene and discovered both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save them, both men succumbed to their injuries.
