On October 10, 2017, at approximately 10:44 PM, Arthur Thompkins III, aged 27, was shot and killed in the 5400 block of Hunt Place, NE, Washington, DC. Thompkins was found in the front seat of his pickup truck, having sustained fatal gunshot wounds. The Metropolitan Police Department immediately launched an investigation and sought public assistance in gathering information about the homicide.
