Death by Force

On June 14, 2018, at approximately 1:37 AM, Dontae Mitchell, a 23-year-old resident of Southeast Washington, D.C., was fatally shot in the 1000 block of Southern Avenue, SE. The incident occurred near a gas station, and Mitchell was pronounced dead at the scene. The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) immediately launched an investigation and sought the public's assistance in gathering information about the homicide.
