On May 22, 2019, Pierre Peedy Mercer, aged 33, was tragically shot and killed in Washington, DC. The incident occurred at approximately 12:48 PM in the 2300 block of Shannon Place, SE, outside of Savoy Elementary School. Mercer was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
