On September 17, 2016, Zoruan Otto Harris, an 18-year-old from Washington, DC, was tragically shot and killed at approximately 8:23 PM in the 2600 block of Birney Place, SE. Zoruan was a recent graduate of National Collegiate Preparatory Charter High School, where he was a standout student and athlete, serving as the captain and quarterback of the school's football team.
