In the late hours of a Thursday night in Washington, D.C., a sequence of violent events led to the death of 45-year-old Harold Blair III. Identified as a Black male, Blair was driving near the Kenilworth Avenue Northeast exit ramp off D.C. Route 295 shortly before midnight on September 22, 2022, when another vehicle pulled alongside his. Gunfire erupted from the adjacent car, striking Blair at least once.
