When police responded to the scene at approximately 9:47 p.m., they discovered Miller and another man, 27-year-old Lekelefac Fonge of Lanham, Maryland, both suffering from fatal
gunshot wounds.
The investigation into the double homicide quickly pointed to a suspect. Authorities identified 27-year-old Davon Peyton of Alexandria, Virginia, as the alleged shooter. A warrant for his arrest was issued, charging him with first-degree murder. The search for Peyton came to a close just days later, when police announced his apprehension.
