In the early evening of April 3, 2020, at approximately 6:50 p.m., tragedy struck in the 3400 block of 22nd Street, Southeast, in Washington, D.C. It was here that 28-year-old David Deandre Young of Clinton, Maryland, was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers from the Seventh District of the Metropolitan Police Department had responded to the scene following reports of a shooting.
