In the summer of 2020, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening calm in a Southeast Washington, D.C. neighborhood, leaving a young man dead and another wounded. On Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police responded to the sound of gunshots in the 1000 block of K Street SE.
