On March 20, 2021, 21-year-old Demetris Johnson from Southeast Washington, D.C., was tragically shot and killed during a gender reveal party in the unit block of Madison Street, Northeast. The incident occurred around 7:44 PM when members of the Fourth District responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found two adult male victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
