On October 28, 2021, at approximately 12:01 am, 27-year-old Eric Cooper was shot and killed in the 2700 block of 7th Street, NW, Washington, DC. The Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Cooper suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, Cooper was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
