In the early evening of January 26, 2021, the sounds of gunshots shattered the peace in the 2600 block of 12th Place, Southeast, Washington, D.C. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Seventh District arrived at the scene around 7:03 p.m., they found a young life tragically cut short. Fifteen-year-old Jamarid Robinson, a Black male, was discovered suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
