In the early hours of a cold Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., a life was tragically cut short. Daniel Calvin Short, a 36-year-old male, became a victim of fatal gun violence on February 23, 2014. The incident that claimed his life unfolded in the 400 block of Florida Avenue, Northeast, a detail that would later be clarified by investigators.
