On a late summer evening in Washington, D.C., the life of a young man was violently cut short in a brutal series of events that began in Maryland and concluded with a grim discovery. Malik Thomas, a 21-year-old African-American male, was the victim of a homicide on September 5, 2015. Prior to his death, it is believed that Thomas was abducted at gunpoint by two men from outside a residence in Suitland, Maryland. This kidnapping set in motion the final, tragic hours of his life.
