In the early evening of Thursday, January 2, 2025, the life of 24-year-old Corey Ward Jr. was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Northeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 9:52 p.m. in the 5200 block of Just Street, Northeast, where officers from the Sixth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunfire.
