Angel LaDawn Kelton-McManes, a 43-year-old woman from Jal, New Mexico, was last seen on May 14, 2019. Known for sometimes leaving home unexpectedly and staying with friends or relatives for extended periods, her absence was not reported until mid-June when her children noticed that essential items she would never leave behind were still at her house. Among these items were her diabetic medication, glasses, money, cigarettes, and phone.
Angel, who had health issues including diabetes, was in poor condition at the time of her disappearance.
Authorities have conducted multiple searches, and the Lea County Sheriff’s Office has been involved in the investigation since late 2019. Angel's family, including her sister, who has custody of her children, is deeply concerned as Angel missed important family events such as her son’s high school graduation and her daughter's birthday.
