On April 29, 1996, an argument between Lombard and Taylor escalated into a physical altercation.
Following this violent confrontation, which reportedly left Taylor with injuries, Ann Lombard was never seen or heard from again. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as a Hispanic female with brown hair and brown eyes, standing 5'8" and weighing around 250 pounds. She may have been wearing a purple shirt and pink sweatpants. A noticeable burn scar was present on her back.
The days following Lombard's disappearance were marked by unsettling events. Taylor, her boyfriend, maintained that she had simply left him after their fight. However, a neighbor reported seeing him digging a large hole in his front yard the day after she went missing, claiming he needed to repair a septic tank.
