In the spring of 1996, 31-year-old Female Ann Lombard had recently relocated to Placitas, New Mexico, from Austin, Texas, seeking a new beginning with her live-in boyfriend, James Taylor, and some of her seven children. Having been in their new home on Perdiz Canyon Road for only a few weeks, the hope of a fresh start was tragically cut short.
