Velda Leyba, a 39-year-old woman from Albuquerque, New Mexico, was last seen on December 6, 1992, the night of her daughter’s birthday. Velda had called her daughter earlier in the evening to say she was leaving a friend's house in the South Valley to head over and celebrate the occasion.
