In the waning hours of a Tuesday afternoon in Washington, D.C., a young man's life was brought to an abrupt and violent end. Twenty-two-year-old Diamonte Green was inside the entryway of an apartment building on the 300 block of 33rd Street, Southeast, on February 16, 2021, when he was fatally shot. The attack, which occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m., left the community shaken and searching for answers.
