In the late hours of a Tuesday in Washington, D.C., the life of 20-year-old Malik Tyger was tragically cut short. On April 27, 2021, at approximately 11:14 p.m., the sound of gunfire echoed in the 100 block of 35th Street, Southeast. When officers from the Sixth District arrived at the residential building, they found a grim scene. Tyger, a resident of Southeast, D.C., was discovered inside, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
