In the early morning hours of Saturday, December 4, 2021, the life of 40-year-old Willie Spain Jr. was tragically cut short in the Benning Ridge neighborhood of Southeast Washington, D.C. At approximately 1:11 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 4400 block of Falls Terrace SE, near the Benning Terrace Recreation Center.
