In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Washington, D.C., violence erupted that left one man dead and another fatally wounded. On March 13, 2022, at approximately 1:05 a.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of a shooting in the 1100 block of 1st Place, Northwest. Upon arrival, they discovered 36-year-old Morris Mitchell suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
