On a Friday afternoon in the spring of 2022, the life of Cedric Williams was cut short in a burst of gunfire. The 34-year-old man was in the intersection of Poplar Street and Oak Drive, in Southeast Washington, D.C., on May 20th when the fatal shooting occurred.
