On August 25, 2022, Juwaan Henry, a 21-year-old resident of Silver Spring, Maryland, was fatally shot in the 800 block of 7th Street, Northwest, Washington, DC. The incident occurred around 8:16 p.m., prompting a response from members of the First District of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD). Upon arrival, officers found Henry suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
