On November 26, 2022, Jakhi Snider, a 16-year-old resident of Southeast Washington, DC, was tragically shot and killed. The incident occurred at approximately 11:05 a.m. in the 1600 block of Morris Road, SE. Responding to reports of a shooting, police officers found Jakhi in critical condition. Despite efforts by DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services to save his life, Jakhi was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
