In the autumn of 2015, a life was tragically cut short in Southwest Washington, D.C. Nineteen-year-old Daniel Brown, a resident of the Southwest neighborhood, was shot in the morning hours of October 23rd. The incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. in the 1400 block of First Street SW, a street that would become the final backdrop to a life filled with untold promise.
