On April 23, 2000, at approximately 6:26 a.m., Tyrone Henderson, also known as Tyra Henderson, was found murdered in the rear of the 3600 block of 11th Street NW, Washington, D.C. Henderson had been beaten to death, and their body was discovered in an alleyway behind residential buildings. The incident occurred early in the morning, and by the time emergency responders arrived, it was too late to save Henderson.
