In the early evening of a summer night in Washington, D.C., a young man's life was cut short by gunfire. Trevon Williams, a 22-year-old resident of Southeast D.C., was fatally shot on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. The incident took place at approximately 7:41 p.m. in the 1000 block of 15th Street, SE.
When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they discovered Williams inside a vehicle, unconscious and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Tragically, his injuries were too severe, and he was pronounced dead at the location. Another adult male was also found at the scene with gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Metropolitan Police Department is actively investigating the shooting as a homicide. Authorities have urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward and have offered a substantial reward for any tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Trevon Williams' death. To date, the case remains unsolved, and no suspects have been publicly identified or arrested in connection with the shooting.
