On March 12, 2004, Lamont Pitts was found shot to death in the 1200 block of Valley Avenue, SE, Washington, D.C. The homicide occurred in the early morning hours, and Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to the scene after receiving reports of the incident. Despite immediate efforts to investigate, the case remains unsolved, and law enforcement authorities have continued to appeal for public assistance to solve the homicide.
