In the early morning hours of October 9, 2003, a promising young life was abruptly cut short on a porch in Washington, D.C. Nineteen-year-old Diamond Teague was at his home in the 2200 block of Prout Street, SE, engaged in a typical evening playing video games. A friend's call prompted him to step outside, a decision that would prove fatal. Shortly after, the sounds of laughter and a brief argument were pierced by a single, loud pop. Teague had been shot in the head.
