In the early morning hours of October 9, 2003, Diamond Teague, aged 19, was fatally shot in the 2200 block of Prout Street, Southeast, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 2:04 a.m. According to reports, Teague was at home playing video games when he received a phone call from a friend asking him to come outside. Shortly afterward, neighbors heard sounds of laughter, a brief argument, and then a single gunshot. Teague was found shot in the head and died on the scene.
