In the pre-dawn hours of Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the sound of gunshots shattered the quiet on the 1600 block of 14th Street, Northwest in Washington, D.C. At approximately 3:59 a.m., Metropolitan Police Department officers from the Third District were dispatched to the scene.
