On July 4, 2014, James Oh, a 76-year-old resident of Washington, DC, was the victim of a violent armed robbery at his establishment, the Gold Corner Market, located in the 5500 block of Colorado Avenue, NW. The incident occurred around 5:20 PM when two suspects entered the store. During the robbery, Mr. Oh was physically assaulted and sustained severe injuries. Despite receiving medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries on July 8, 2014.
